and individual sessions, greatly enhance
each other. Below
are some sample classes offered and
the current schedule.
this movement class you will learn that
the most effective way to stay physically
fit is to work with yourself powerfully,
not forcefully. Students will be skillfully
guided in graceful movement that nourishes
the joints and will learn to change movement
habits that strain the joints resulting
in deterioration of function. Graceful
movement is absent of patterns which cause
pain or difficulty, hesitation or incongruency.

Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais was a genius in his understanding of how the human system learns. He developed an extraordinary method of how to actually change and improve movement habits. Instead of relying on as massage therapist to relax tense muscles or a chiropractor to realign the skeleton, one could actually learn an improved coordination of action that uses the whole body in such a balanced way that self correction becomes the habit. In this class we will focus on improving kinesthetic awareness of our base of support through the pelvis and spine, resulting in greater lightness in all movements with improved carriage of the head.
